Planning For February

Today has been spent planning for next month.  I am busy researching and learning about affiliate marketing, and costing it all out.  So, that is involving working out where the initial outlay will come from, in the early stages.

I have worked out that between my earnings from Clixsense and Prolific should cover the initial costs.  Plus, this month I am also going to dip my toe into matched betting, so the earnings from there should help immensely as well.

This week is to be dedicated to working my way through some training on Wealthy Affiliate and setting up a new website, where I will hopefully be moving this blog to *fingers crossed*.  Wealthy Affiliate is choc full of training articles and videos, I've barely touched the surface over there!  I signed up last year, and didn't look at it until this month.  Can't believe I didn't start using it before now.

I suppose things happen at the right time, and that is why it has popped up on my radar again.  I am looking forward to February now.  Onwards and upwards, that's for sure :)

Happy Sunday

Feeling good today, cleared the kitchen surfaces, and found the receipt for some gloves I needed to return to store.  So next week will be £5 better off than it would have been.

The plan for this week is to survive on the food that we have in already and not spend a penny more.  We have tonnes of potatoes, and veg, and soya mince and sausages, more than enough to keep us going :) Lidl were selling huge bags of potatoes last week and I got a bag, so they will last us a long time, even with a teenage son who loves his mashed potato!

Tomorrow, I will take some time out to plan the week's meals, taking into account that I will be at work three days this week.  I usually take cereal and instant noodles to work for breakfast and lunch, and I have a flask and bring my own tea bags and soya milk.  It saves me so much money taking in food rather than sneaking to the co-op on the way in ;)

Little changes can make all the difference, and living on a tight budget, little changes are needed.  In the last month, I made the decision to finally switch energy suppliers, so will see how that pans out financially.  So glad for comparison websites and cashback sites.

Nearly Survived January!

At the beginning of the month, things looked very bleak.  I was late with the rent, which impacted on the rest of the month due to being one week short of wages (due to being used to make up the rent shortfall).  So this month we have had to be super careful with money!

And here I am at the end of the month, and we have survived.  We have been able to eat, keep warm, pay the bills (except for one, but that will be rectified come Friday), and there is enough money in my account to pay the rent on Tuesday.

How have we done it?  Extreme frugality, negotiating with the companies I owe money to to reduce the payments for this month, and finding other ways to bring in a bit extra cash.  I have been extremely lucky this month and feel that something always happens to help out just at the right time.  So, what are my daily tasks?

Neobux
Clixsense
Prolific Academic
Free games on Virgin Games and JackpotJoy
Checking One Pulse and Citizen Me apps
Postcode Lottery
Lucky Phone
Selfie Lottery
Date of Birth Lottery

(I will add the other links once on a computer)

Also this month, I took advantage of an offer by Virgin Games to deposit a minimum of £10 and get 150% extra to use.  It was subject to a wager clause, but I managed to earn £20 so cashed out £30 after half an hour.  I also deposited £10 on there this morning and won another £20!  So I now have an extra £50 to get me through this week!

I would only recommend Virgin Games and JackpotJoy if you are a super strict kind of person as you can lose as well as win on these sites, nothing is guaranteed.  I have a figure in my head that I am prepared to lose, and stick to it.

So, all in all, January hasn't been as bad I first thought, and I can start February with a clean slate and get moving on some other projects that I have in the pipeline...

How has your January gone?

Passive Income Opportunity

We all like a bit of passive income coming in, don't we?  I love having income streams that don't require much input, and just quietly accummulate in the background.

One of my favourite passive incomes is Recyclix.  It is an actual recycling plant in Poland, and you can buy waste to recycle there.  To start, they give you 20 Euros to invest, but you will need to invest a further 20 Euros within 60 days of registering with them.  I got caught out first time around and had my account closed because I didn't invest the further 20 Euros.  However they are good in that they let you re-register, you just need to use a different email address.

The earnings build up is slow, but it is steady, and you can set your account up to automatically move on to the next stage of recycling, so it can truly work quietly in the background earning you money.

Plus, it is environmentally friendly, and eco-conscious, so definitely a win-win situation.  As with most things, Recyclix operates a referral system, so if you are interested in signing up, please do use my referral code - 627F-D103-79C8.

Earn Money While You Shop

There are a few ways to earn money while you shop, so I will be penning a few of these :)

This post will be focussing on TopCashBack.  I use this site regularly, especially when any insurance is up for renewal :)

It has many offers available on there for cashback, ranging from most high street stores to insurance, from bank accounts to no spend offers.  Pop along and have a look here Linkie .  As with many earning sites, you can earn for referring others to join up, so the link above contains my referral link ;)

The offers can take a good couple of months to be verified and approved for payment, so it isn't an instant money earner by any means, and the cashback offers can change regularly too, so its worth checking on a regular basis to see what's on offer.

Happy shopping and earning at the same time ;)

Earn £5 an Hour with this Survey Site

Afternoon guys 😀 Treated myself this morning getting my nails done with the lovely Sophie at Pixie Nails  I was able to do this because of a good two weeks of earning online with Prolific.

Prolific are a website set up for researchers all over the world to create and post surveys and studies for people signed up to the website.  It is one of the best paying sites out there for surveys, paying upwards of £5 an hour.

The other significant difference with Prolific from other survey sites is that the surveys you are given, you won't be screened out of.  You are asked to provide answers to pre-screening questions periodically, researchers can set pre-screening questions for participants at any time, so it is well worth checking on a regular basis.

Sadly there is no notification system with Prolific, so it is a case of logging in daily and refreshing the studies page periodically throughout the day.  I have become quite obsessed with it :) and in two weeks I have earned £26.

It is well worth taking a look at.  There is a referral system with Prolific too, so please feel free to use my referral link if you do decide to join.  You won't regret it :)

New Year, New Start.

I say New Year in the title of this post, but am startled to realise that we are over half way through January already!  Time is speeding by and before we know it, it will be that dreaded time of year again that begins with a C.

So this year, I am going to get myself prepared, and take more definite steps to be financially solvent for a change :) I have several money making/saving ideas, both on the go, and some in the pipeline to try out during the next couple of months.  Any successful ventures, I will share here with you, to help you earn and save those all important pennies.

I will endevour to pen a blog post each day, but I know what I am like, and that aspiration may change over time!

I do want to put it out there though that this year, I am going to make enough money to be able to pay off some of those pesky debts that have been building up, and have enough left over to give the boy a good Christmas this year.

There, I have said it, I have put it out there to the universe, and to you guys reading this, so it will be so.

If you have any tips to share, or would like to write guest posts for my blog, then please do get in touch with me, I welcome any and all ideas and support :) we are all in this together.
